Financial Education Network (FEN)

The National Urban Technology Center, Inc . (Urban Tech) worked with community-based organizations (CBOs) in six cities to demonstrate the effectiveness of online financial education to engage and empower residents to make smarter decisions about managing money and to build wealth by learning to save and invest.

Urban Tech’s Financial Education Network (FEN) is available across the country by getting registered to access FEN’s rich interactive applications, including:

  • Learning content for youth, adults, and seniors
  • Analytics for tracking, measuring, and certifying users
  • Sharing feedback and user experiences
  • A point system for certifying and rewarding course completion
  • A marketplace for partners to create, share, and monetize their own financial literacy courseware and applications

  • To purchase and join FEN, email Roxanne Febles at [email protected]. She will get you started with Financial Literacy Workshops and access to the online portal.

“We want people to own assets; we want people to be able to manage their assets. We want people to understand basic financial concepts, and how credit cards work and how credit scores affect you, how you can benefit from a savings account or a bank account.”
