Urban Tech, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation, was founded in 1995. Our primary goal is to provide computer training and essential life skills to residents in schools and community-based organizations to support academic performance and workforce development. We accomplish our mission through two flagship programs:
SeedTech® and the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA).
YLA is a research-based education program that resonates with students ages 10-18.
Through SeedTech®, Urban Tech has built hundreds of turn-key computer training centers nationwide and developed successful partnership models for increasing job readiness.
YLA's Proven Impact
A new study shows that students exposed to YLA perform better academically in their course work and demonstrate growth in pro-social behavior than students who don't use YLA.

2010 Gala Dinner
The legendary Patti LaBelle, Humanitarian Award recipient for 2010, was honored June 22 at Urban Tech's annual Gala Dinnner. Urban Tech also paid tribute to Ambassador Carl Spielvogel for his lifetime of public service.
