Youth Leadership Academy (YLA)
YLA equips students aged 10-18 with essential skills to become productive, self-fulfilled and acheivement-oriented adults and leaders. YLA empowers students with research-based skill-set education programs targeted to increase life-long leadership, healthy living and financial literacy development.

YLA can be easily integrated with core curriculum.

Objectives

  Build Leadership
Through animated social skills programs and related exercises, participants explore various ways to respond to challenges and relate to each other.

  Appreciate New Media
Teens combine technology with music to create digital mixes and recordings in a hands-on learning experience that helps them relate to PCs as a tool for "self-statement".

  Improve Academic Skills
Stimulating activities build critical thinking, reading comprehension and writing skills that improve students? overall performance.

  Explore College and Career Options
Students set goals and learn to create action plans that take them step-by-step toward achieving their vision.

  Encourage Community Service
Participants learn the value of community in their lives, and experience their personal potential through public service.

Course purchasing costs provide onsite training, day-to-day session plans, instructors' guides, participant manuals, and the on-line administrative tools needed to run the program.
